Introduction to "Parliamentarism brought into focus"

This url serves as a promotion platform for a project unique in Austria (a State in Middle Europe neighboured to Germany). In continuation of a work at Vienna university dealing with the differences between authentical speeches in Austria's Federal Parliament and the printed version in the so called "stenographic protocol", we decided to digitize all parliamentary materials since the end of world war II.

Actually, all sessions of Austria's Federal Parliament, from 1945 to presence, (approximately 200.000 sides) are digitized and stored offline on a private file server. As the present direction of Austria's Parliament, having been contacted for years, hesitates to take over the fruits of a private initiative, we're determined to develop an independent internet platform in order to give public access to all these materials.

At present, the url contains the result of scientific work, as recorded above (in "A"), moreover, beside others, some (parts of) historical speeches, refering to themes like "National socialism", "reparations" etc, sometimes being essential for the understanding of historical developments and different points of view (in "B") and, finally (in "C"), national and international comments from the side of members of parliament, politicians, scientists and other institutions as well as of privates.

Yours sincerely
